Legislative action

ArizOTA’s legislative committee works with its advocate to monitor issues affecting occupational therapy at the state and federal levels.

Urgent calls to action are shared by email. Please continue to reach out to ArizOTA and advocate for the OT profession.

OT Compact

Learn about interstate practice and check current application requirements through the official OT Compact resources.

Compact participation does not automatically authorize practice in another state. Check eligibility, application availability and approval requirements before practicing.

Advocacy at the Capitol

Legislative advocacy provides opportunities to educate state lawmakers about occupational therapy and build relationships with the House, Senate and Governor’s office.

ArizOTA works with Triadvocates to monitor legislation and bring the perspectives of occupational therapy practitioners and the people they serve to decision-makers.
